VERTICAL HORIZON: THE NEW POWER PANT SUIT

As the United States presidential elections come to an end I’ve been reflecting a lot about POWER and being the BOSS. When I was a young girl I never wanted to be a doctor, lawyer, or any other traditional occupation. I always wanted to be a BOSS! I wanted to lead others, make decisions, and wear a skirt suit and briefcase. [LOL] Don’t judge me, I was born in the late 80s. This led me to think about the style transformation of “Girl Bosses”. When you walk into a room you can either command it (Werk!) or exist in it (Blah!). Depending on the circumstance you may need to play different roles at different times. I’ve always been told to “Dress the Part” or ‘Dress for the Job You Want”. I totally agree with this notion. This is why I am totally obsessed with Pop Up Plus Boutique’s Gaella Capelet Jumpsuit .

As a #GirlBoss, I want to be bold, vibrant, and well… BOSSY! I love the jumpsuit’s feminine and masculine style tug-of-war. I love the masculine aesthetics of the wide and narrow vertical stripes and the bold primary blue, white, orange, and black colors. The feminine elements are stunning. One word; CAPE. A jumpsuit with an open back cape, sign me up please! This jumpsuit made me feel powerful, gorgeous, and fierce! Let’s talk styling. For this look, I wanted the jumpsuit to be statement piece. I slicked my hair back into a sleek power bun. I completed the look with drop ball earrings, black pointed toe heels, and dramatic orange lip.
