How do you add drama to a look? Add a cascading waterfall vest. For my second look in the Curvature Boutique #TripleSlayFashion series, I wanted to bring the dramatics in color, texture, and layers.
For this look I wanted to create a dramatic posh look. I love to mix and match color contrasts. In this look you have the vibrant coral skater dress styled with the subtle mocha colored waterfall vest. In essence, it’s the reverse of the fashion choice of adding a pop of color; here I added a pop of neutral! This look has so much drama from the: contrasting colors of coral and mocha; to the textures of the quilted print in the dress and scuba fabric of the vest; to the layers and dimensions of the high-low sided scuba dress to cascading layers of the vest. I completed the look with nude faux suede strappy chunky heels.
The creative direction behind this look was inspired by my mocha colored waterfall vest. The color is a dreamy coffee and cream brown. It’s the type of vest that you wear to a “café”, not a coffee shop. I imaged myself walking the cobblestone streets in Paris on a brisk day stopping at a café and grabbing a mega cup of hot chocolate with tons of whip cream (I hate coffee!) and a croissant (Ok ok… 3 croissants!).
