What an unapologetically bold way to declare one’s self-worth, self-love, and body acceptance. For decades society has attempted to push plus size voices and bodies into the shadows; until now. Most noteworthy, we are breaking down barriers and together we are amplifying our voices in the body positive movement for all shapes and sizes. I’m overwhelmed with excitement and pride to collaborate with JCPenney in their #HereIAm launch video for their exclusive private label brand- Boutique+™. 

The video features my favorite best friends [in my head]: Gabi Fresh, Valerie Sagun, Jes Baker, Mary Lambert, and JCPenney’s very own Ashley Nell Tipton. The essence of the video exemplifies the spirit and beauty found inside every[BODY], regardless of what your dress size is. Size, age, and/or price tags should never put a limit on style or fashion. This notion is at the core of Society of Harlow’s mission. I feel the same way about HAPPINESS. We don’t have to wait to lose 25 pounds to be happy. We don’t have to wait for someone’s approval of how “they think” we should dress to be happy. Seek happiness in yourself and fashion! That’s what JCPenney’s #HereIAm movement is all about; in every moment seek self-love, self-worth, and pride.

An effortlessly chic look with vibrant colors, dramatic prints, and bold silhouettes is essential. JCPenney’s Boutique+™ will bring all the slayage as it was exclusively created and designed to cater to the needs of curvy/plus size women. Style, price, and fit are  the “trifecta of primary apparel needs” for plus size women. Very few retailers have been able to meet all three needs effectively. Thank you JCPenney! At stores and online you will find sizes ranges from 0x-4x (5x online) and 16W-30W. All fashionistas will be able to find their style utopia. I am looking forward to shopping and styling some pieces at Boutique+!
